    Barts Hospital is undergoing a massive 10-year redevelopment programme by Skanska as part of the Barts and The London New Hospitals scheme. A team of MOLA archaeologists is now excavating a large trench in the centre of Phase 2 of the redevelopment.

    Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) is undertaking an excavation at Convoys Wharf, on the site of Deptford Dockyard. The dockyard was founded in 1513 by Henry VIII when a storehouse was built, which became the core of a complex of warehouse buildings as the dockyard grew.

    Bastion 14 of London’s former City Wall stands as a ruined structure to the east of the Museum of London and is visible from the Museum’s Roman Gallery. Due to essential restoration works on its structure, Museum of London Archaeology has undertaken a standing building survey of the bastion.

    From August 2010 to January 2011, Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) carried out work at Kingsnorth, Isle of Grain, Kent. During a top soil strip in late 2011 more archaeological features were identified and a subsequent archaeological excavation was undertaken to document these.
