As the Historic Buildings Officer in MOLA's Northampton office, Amir’s responsibilities include the day to day management of historic buildings projects, on-site recording, and reporting. In addition to historic buildings, he has extensive experience of illustrations, graphics and has been a key member of the illustration office since 2009. Amir gained a BSc in Geology and Archaeology from Birmingham University and starting working for us in 2006 as a site assistant.

After joining the Illustration team in 2009, he developed an interest in historic building. He assisted in the surveying and reporting of a number of sites, before taking a more active, managerial role in 2012. Amir has worked on a wide range of projects, from agricultural and vernacular to stately homes, factories and breweries, ecclesiastical buildings, industrial structures including harbor sluice gates, and a number of gasworks sites. He has a keen interest in photography, 3D modelling and traditional drafting and survey, and enjoys incorporating these aspects within the historic building projects.
