Azizul is one of MOLA's Built Heritage Specialists, working on the recording of buildings and other structures required as conditions on planning consents. Azizul has been working at MOLA since 2011 and is fully trained in conducting standing building surveys, desk-based assessments and in the creation of CAD plans and sectional elevations of structures. He has specialised in GIS and spatial database, 3D modelling and relational database management systems for archiving and managing archaeological records and projects.

Azizul has studied and worked in Bangladesh and in the UK, and contributed to the successful completion of many archaeological research and commercial projects. He studied Archaeological Computing and Spatial Technologies and obtained his MSc from University of Southampton. In 2010 Azizul was awarded a workplace learning bursary from the Heritage Lottery Fund through the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) and during that time worked in various departments at MOLA. After successful completion of the bursary period Azizul became a permanent member of the team.

He has worked on a number of high profile schemes including the recording of St Pauls Cathedral’s West Nave Roof, Knole House in Kent, St Alphege Church tower and Bastion 13 at London Wall, Rainham Hall at Essex and Hampton Water Works at Richmond.
