David is MOLA's Head of Building Recording, managing a group of Built Heritage Specialists who are experts in analysing and reporting on buildings, built heritage and above-ground structures. The work undertaken by David enables the discharge of planning conditions to a level of record required by the client.

David has worked as a Built Heritage Specialist with MOLA since 2008 and has experience producing reports which include the analysis and interpretation of buildings, along with photographs, plans, and sectional and elevation drawings. David gained experience through academic study at University College London and working in field archaeology as a site supervisor on several major urban excavations. He has worked on a number of projects in London and elsewhere, including London’s Roman and medieval City wall, City churches, Georgian and Victorian terraced houses, railway stations, goods yards, industrial sites, breweries, schools and hospitals. He has overseen many high profile projects, such as the redevelopment of King’s Cross Station and Knole, in Sevenoaks, both Grade I listed buildings.

David is an affiliate member of the IHBC, a member of the Georgian Group and holds the IOSH Supervising Safely Certificate.
