Luisa is one of MOLA’s Conservators and is involved in all aspects of archaeological conservation of sites, from site visits to archive. She has a deep understanding of the most current conservation practices and has participated in several national conferences.

Luisa is trained in the conservation of a large number of archaeological and modern materials. She mainly specialises in glass and ceramics and the stabilisation of waterlogged organic objects. She has extensive experience in the assessment, costing and managing of conservation requirements for urban archaeological sites. Luisa’s recent work includes the conservation of the exceptional Roman waterlogged organic and metal finds from Bloomberg London and the conservation and display of the Minories Roman Eagle.

Luisa has an archaeological background so has a good understanding of the workings of an archaeological site and the relationships between the conservator, archaeologist and finds specialists.
