Registered Finds Specialist
Rachel joined MOLA in January 2016 as a trainee registered finds specialist. Her work involves identifying, recording and interpreting artefacts and writing reports for assessments and publications. She has worked on Roman, medieval and post-medieval finds from excavations across London.
Rachel’s previous experience with archaeological objects was as a Collections Officer with York Archaeological Trust and as a volunteer for the Portable Antiquities Scheme in Yorkshire. Her masters’ degree research was on medieval iron arrowheads. Rachel is a member of the Historical Metallurgy Society, the Finds Research Group and the Roman Finds Group.
