Time Truck Second Saturday at Empress Place

Earls Court Project Rooms, Empress Place SW6

Time: 10am - 4pm
Price: Free

The Time Truck will be at the Earls Court this Saturday with a fascinating display of historic maps of the area and a drop-in family activity ‘From seed to table’ looking at the little-known history of market gardening in the area in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Using microscopes, we will look at archaeological seed samples for popular market garden vegetables such as parsnips, asparagus and cucumber, learning about the history of their cultivation and their use in historic cuisine.

This event is part of the monthly ‘Second Saturday’ series, when communities are invited to visit the Project Rooms at Empress Place to find out more about the Earls Court Regeneration
