Time Truck at Tower Beach Open Foreshore

Tower Wharf, London, EC3N 4AB

8am to 1pm

The Time Truck is pitching up by the Tower Beach for the open foreshore event for Totally Thames. The Thames Foreshore at the Tower of London is a fascinating site for MOLA’s Thames Discovery Programme, which is only open to the public once a year. The archaeology of the site ranges from evidence of 1st century Roman trade and export to its use a pleasure beach in the 20th century. Our Foreshore Recording and Observation Group (FROG) will be down on the foreshore and on the Time Truck helping the public to interpret the many archaeological finds to be made on the foreshore.

This Time Truck outing is supported by TEAM2100 (Thames Estuary Asset Management), an Environment Agency funded initiative to manage and mitigate flood risk along the Thames through the repair and maintenance of river walls and flood defences. TEAM2100 engineers will be on hand to explain how their 100 year long programme is helping to keep London safe from increasing environmental threats.
