Discover Walthamstow’s past through archaeology: Pop-Up Exhibition at The Mill

Come along to The Mill community centre on Sat 25 September to meet archaeologists from MOLA and Pre-Construct Archaeology and learn about recent archaeological excavations at Holy Family Catholic Technology College on Shernhall Street. Over the last few years archaeologists from Pre-Construct Archaeology have been using a range of techniques to learn more the area's past. 

Join us on the day to: 

  • See a display of finds excavated from the site, some of which are almost 2000 years old
  • Learn more about how archaeologists investigate the past, the techniques they use, and the types of objects they find
  • Find out how, from its earliest days, life in Walthamstow has been shaped by the River Lea
