Inventive Vents Family Event: London’s Roman History and Mysteries
London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE, 3 Queen Victoria Street, London EC4N 4TQ
Join us along with architecture education charity, Our Hut, for an exciting afternoon discovering the many layers of London's past through learning, drawing and making at the amazing London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE. Discover the fascinating mysteries of London's history all the way back to the Roman era, examined through the archaeology of ‘inventive vents’ – underground ventilation shafts revealing evidence of the past that is not obvious at street level.
Take part in our drop-in workshop which runs all afternoon and create your own drawings, collages, ventilation shaft designs and time capsules. Or take a tour of the reconstructed remains of the Temple of Mithras, where members of the mysterious Cult of Mithras once met, at 1.30pm, 2.30pm or 3.30pm.
Numbers are limited for the tours, so make sure you sign up when you arrive! This event is fun for all the family and entirely free of charge.
