Brigid Geist

Senior Buildings Archaeologist

Brigid is a Senior Buildings Archaeologist/Built Heritage Specialist with the Standing Buildings Recording Team. She is trained in the recording of standing structures  at all levels required by Historic England to satisfy the conditions of planning consents, the creation of CAD plans and sectional elevations as well as 3D modelling and post fieldwork reporting on large and small projects. Brigid joined the MOLA Field Team in 2015 and in 2018 she welcomed the opportunity to be part of the Standing Building Recording Team. 

Brigid has a BA (Hons) in Archaeology from University College London as well as a Certificate of Higher Education in Psychology from the University of London. She began her archaeological career in 2008 and has broad experience in excavation in both rural and urban environments. Brigid has extensive experience in the excavation and identification of human remains. Since joining MOLA she has worked on several high profile projects in London, including the excavation of  the Bedlam Burial Ground, and The Stage in Shoreditch. In addition she has extensive experience in topographical survey using  total station and GIS equipment.
