Chris has nearly two decades experience of managing and consulting on major projects. He has extensive experience preparing complex schemes to go through planning, including London Wall Place, numerous projects in Spitalfields, and others in London and across the UK. He is part of the Senior Management Group, responsible for the overall direction and success of the organisation.
Chris has appeared at planning enquiries and has been an expert witness for London Underground Limited. Previously Chris was a Senior Consultant, responsible for developing business and leading a team of Project Managers. He has supervised major excavations, including medieval monastic sites such as the Priory and Hospital of St Mary Spital, Westminster Abbey and the London Charterhouse. Chris has also carried out detailed recording of standing historic buildings.
Chris has produced a large number of articles and publications including, The Archaeology of Medieval London – an account of London in the medieval period, describing up-to-date archaeological discoveries that throw new light onto the history of the medieval capital. Chris is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London.
Our Heritage Consultants advise clients, helping them to achieve planning consent and discharge heritage planning conditions. Specialising in preliminary risk appraisal, heritage assessments and environmental statements, the team are also experts in preparing and submitting heritage consents, Conservation Management Plans and other heritage studies.
