As an Assistant Project Manager for MOLA Rob designs appropriate programmes of archaeological fieldwork and produces fee proposals for a range of projects. He also helps to manage large excavation schemes across the UK and is experienced in assembling and directing archaeological teams. Rob first joined MOLA in 2011 and worked as a Senior Archaeologist on many complex field projects, seeing them through to post-excavation assessment and publication.
Rob has a considerable field based background and has excavated and supervised on major excavations across the UK and Europe since 2004. He has experience working on sites of all periods from the prehistoric through to post medieval, in both rural and urban settings, and is familiar with all evaluation and mitigation techniques. During his time in the field and now as part of the MOLA management team, Rob effectively liaises between archaeological teams, the principal contractor, client and archaeological curator. Rob particularly enjoys deeply stratified, multi-period urban archaeology in London.
