As Director of Infrastructure Sorina is responsible for the development and successful delivery of large infrastructure projects.

Before joining MOLA in 2019, Sorina worked for Headland Archaeology for 11 years, during which time she helped to establish the MOLA Headland Infrastructure consortium. Working most recently as Project Director on the southern section of the HS2 project, she played a critical role in setting up excavations at St James’s Gardens, Euston. She was also part of the bidding teams for Tideway and the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon improvement scheme. Previous involvement in infrastructure projects include the Aberdeen Bypass, the M74 in Glasgow, and Edinburgh Trams.

Sorina has PhD in Prehistoric Archaeology from the University of Edinburgh and an MA (Hons) in Archaeology and History of Art from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists.
