The Thames Discovery Programme are pleased to announce a new community lecture series - Tideway Talks - kindly sponsored by Tideway. In this first instalment, volunteers from the Foreshore Recording and Observation Group (FROG) will be sharing their favourite sites and stories from the foreshore. Talk topics will include: 

  • Yvonne Masson: Some West London Foreshore Archaeology
  • Martin Hatton: Interpreting the Archaeology of the Scheduled Foreshore at Greenwich
  • Suzanne Taylor: Let’s Go to the Movies!-An Archaeological Cinematic Adventure of Motor Launch M.L. 286
  • Margaret Sparks and Selina Springbett: The changing shape and composition of the foreshore in Bermondsey and Rotherhithe
  • Melvyn Dresner: Title to be confirmed

Please note that doors will open at 6.30pm for drinks and nibbles with the lecture itself starting at 7.00pm.
