Join us on the 5 October 2019 for a tour of the archaeological excavations of the Boar's Head Playhouse in Whitechapel, London.

A team of archaeologists from MOLA has begun digging the 16th century Boar's Head, an often-overlooked Shakespearean-era playhouse, ahead of construction of new student housing by Unite Students.

The site is open to the public on the 5 October for pre-bookable tours with our experts. There will also be an opportunity to see some artefacts too.

There are 4 tours running throughout the day at 10am, 11.15am, 1.30pm and 2.45pm.

Please note: All visitors need to wear Personal Protective Equipment for tours as it is a live construction site. This equipment will be provided for visitors. Certain areas of the site, including access to the excavation area, will be wheelchair accessible for tours.

Visitors must be aged 16 or over.

Tickets are free (with a £2.99 deposit to be fully refunded on the day) and can be purchased via Eventbrite.
