Time: 11:00 - 15:00
Meet some of the original Roman Londoners (played by actors) whose stories were brought to life through the Bloomberg writing tablets, found during the archaeological excavations on the site of Bloomberg’s new European headquarters. Dating back to the 1st Century AD, these 400 writing tablets give an extraordinary insight into early Londinium, and unearth Roman London’s first voices.
This event is free so just come along!
Supported by Bloomberg.
MOLA teamWe have published research into Britain’s largest, earliest and most significant collection of Roman waxed writing tablets, discovered during archaeological excavations for Bloomberg.
With Bloomberg, we undertook an oral history project to capture memories of the discovery of the Temple of Mithras.
