As Head of Public Impact, I lead MOLA’s team of community engagement and communications specialists. Since joining MOLA in 2021, I’ve been involved in major projects such as the A14 and A428 improvement schemes, HS2, and The Liberty in Southwark. This includes leading on national and international press and media stories, as well as managing film and TV productions.

A key part of my role is to work closely with our clients and funders to develop innovative, ambitious, and impactful public programmes, which generate Social Value through archaeology and discharge relevant planning conditions. I also help develop partnerships and collaborations both within and outside of archaeology to further our impact and reach new audiences.

Earlier in my career, I was involved in enhancing visitor experiences at several high-profile archaeological sites – including Çatalhöyük in Turkey and Memphis in Egypt. I also previously led marketing and communications for the annual Heritage Open Days festival.

I have a particular interest in pioneering new ways of engaging audiences with the past, and using archaeology to unlock more profound public impacts linked to sense of belonging and community, personal well-being, and skills and employment.
