I’m a Project Manager at MOLA, and I’ve been working in London archaeology for over 45 years. My entire career has been with MOLA and its predecessor, the Southwark & Lambeth Archaeological Excavation Committee, which has given me the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the archaeology of Southwark, Lambeth, and the wider city.
Over the years, I’ve managed a wide variety of projects, from complex urban excavations to heritage consultancy for major redevelopment schemes. These include Lambeth Palace, London Bridge Place, and Guy’s Hospital, where I was involved in the excavation of a Roman boat. At Queensbridge House, I helped secure consent for four Scheduled Ancient Monuments, and I’ve also led mitigation strategies for developments including NEO Bankside, One Tower Bridge, and Bankside 123.
I aim to design and deliver archaeological programmes that meet planning requirements while also preserving important heritage. One of my recent highlights was work at The Liberty development in Southwark, where we uncovered a high-status Roman building that offered rare insights into elite life in Roman Britain.
I hold an MA in Archaeology from the University of London and a BA in Geography. I’m a Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (MCIfA) and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries (FSA).
