I lead our regional archive team, based in the Northampton office. Our main role involves helping to prepare all aspects of our archaeological archives – finds, documentary, and digital material – for deposition with the relevant repositories. We work according to best practice guidance and individual county standards. I liaise with museums throughout projects regarding accession numbers, selection strategies, and deposition dates. I am also responsible for liaising with clients and consultants in order to secure transfer of title from landowners to archive repositories.
I have been working in commercial archaeology since 2017 and have experience working in the field, as well as finds and environmental processing. Since 2018/19 I have focused on archive work, and became the regional archive team lead in 2023.
I also co-ordinate work experience for students at our Northampton processing centre.
