As a Trainee Pottery Specialist based at MOLA’s London office, I am currently recording and spot-dating the Roman pottery from a large excavation in the City of London. I'm looking forward to becoming more familiar with the pottery of this period from London and investigating the data during the reporting and analysis stage, and as I progress, assessing Iron Age and Roman pottery from MOLA sites from the South-East, East Midlands and East of England.
Previously I've worked as an archaeologist on the HS2, and in a collection and archive post at the British Museum, and as a Finds Liaison Officer in Kent. With my background in metal finds, I'm particularly interested in comparing ceramic and metallic vessels from the late Iron Age and Roman periods. It has also spurred my passion about engaging the public with all aspects of heritage and archaeology.
I'm a committee member for the Roman Finds Group. Other outreach activities I’ve been involved in can be seen on my LinkedIn page.
