As a Project Officer specialising in fieldwork my role includes archaeological site management, leadership and mentoring, archaeological excavation and recording, post-excavation stratigraphic analysis, and publication. I enjoy uncovering the everyday evidence which shows that people (broadly speaking) are essentially all the same, it doesn’t matter where or when they lived. I also love communicating our findings to stakeholders and wider audiences.
I have experience undertaking archaeological work across the UK, with over 10 years of experience of complex sites in London. I have been part of the supervisory teams for some of MOLA London's biggest projects including Bloomberg London (Temple of Mithras), Crossrail Broadgate, Thames Tideway, HS2 Euston St James's Burial Ground, 40 Leadenhall, and 50 Fenchurch.
I graduated from the Sheffield University in 2004 and in 2007/2008 completed a Masters degree in Material Culture at the University of Glasgow. In addition to fieldwork I have spent a year working for the Portable Antiquities Scheme at Kent County Council and a secondment as a Science Advisor in London for Historic England.
