As a trainee archaeobotanist, I am responsible for the assessment and full analysis of plant materials such as seeds, fruits, and nuts. I joined MOLA in 2025 and to date have worked on multiple assemblages within southern England ranging from the Neolithic to the Post-Medieval period.
Before joining MOLA, I worked as a post-excavation technician at AOC Archaeology, where I undertook environmental processing and botanical analysis of archaeological material from both Scotland and England. Prior to this, I completed an MSc in Environmental Archaeology at Durham University, where my research focused on stable isotope analysis of botanical material from an Iron Age site in the Scottish Highlands.
Another key interest of mine is how archaeobotany can inform us about how communities, particularly within the North Atlantic, adapted their subsistence and land-use strategies to live within marginal and challenging environments.
I am excited to build on my previous experience in archaeobotany, particularly in identifying and interpreting plant remains and contributing to report writing.
