As Regional Manager I oversee projects and development for the Stansted office, working with specialist teams across the organisation.

I have spent more than 40 years in archaeology, beginning as an undergraduate in 1983 and initially pursuing a career in both field and post-excavation, having developed an interest in environmental archaeology at an early stage.  As well as developing a specialism in the archaeology of the East Midlands, I have also been involved in overseas projects in Libya, Turkmenistan, Italy, and Spain.

I continued to work at supervisory level in both UK field and environmental archaeology until I started my PhD in 1994. This was carried out in conjunction with the Catal Huyuk project in Turkey, which I continued to be associated with following completion of my thesis (A Geoarchaeological Approach to Late Quaternary Environmental Change in South Central Turkey), including a six-month field season in 1999.

I have worked in UK commercial archaeology since 2000, including as a post-excavation and fieldwork manager. I joined MOLA in 2022 as a Project Manager with our Northampton Office, before moving to our Stansted office in 2024.
