As Head of Programmes, I oversee the programming and delivery of MOLA’s post-excavation work, and lead post-excavation teams across our offices, including finds and environmental processing, finds, osteological, and environmental specialists, conservation, and archiving.

I have more than 10 years of commercial post-excavation experience. In previous roles within MOLA, I have overseen teams of post-excavation project managers, delivering high quality and diverse outputs with a focus on public value, including ArcGIS StoryMaps, press releases, popular booklets, lectures, pop-up displays and permanent site interpretation panels, as well as traditional client site reports, desk-based assessments, and monograph and peer-reviewed publications, and rigorous site archives.

I have a strong interest in material culture, extending from my academic background and doctoral thesis in 17th-century drinking vessels, and I also undertake work for MOLA as a finds specialist in post-Roman glass. I have also managed and delivered successful public outreach and engagement projects, including the AHRC Delapré Digs IAA funded project, which utilised public archaeology as a tool for promoting wellbeing.

While with MOLA, I have spearheaded a number of procedural innovations, including digital archiving and digital data management, environmental processing and facilities efficiencies, systems for Quality Control, and staff mentoring. I sit on the EDI and Sustainability Working Groups, and Health and Safety Committee.
