As a senior archaeozoologist, my work includes identification, analysis, and reporting of faunal assemblages (including molluscs) through to publication.

I have worked in commercial archaeology for over 16 years.  After completing my PhD, I joined MOLA in 2011, where I gained experience working in a range of roles within the field team, including Geomatics (handling all stages of spatial data management). I moved into post-excavation research, my chosen area of interest, as an archaeozoologist in 2014.

Being based in London has allowed me to work on many interesting multi-period urban sites across the City, including the site of the Temple of Mithras (Bloomberg headquarters) and Crossrail Liverpool Street. More recently I have also been involved in large scale rural infrastructure projects such as the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon road improvement scheme and Scottish Power Renewables East Anglia One cable line.

I enjoy that my work provides me the opportunity to learn something new every day, not just about fauna but also about how people lived and interacted with nature in the past.
