As a Project Officer, based in MOLA’s London office, I oversee the day-to-day running of archaeological sites across the city and south-east England. I ensure the safe and timely delivery of projects, alongside our project management and SHEQ teams, and provide a link between client teams and MOLA colleagues. Once fieldwork is complete, I work with the post-excavation project management team to disseminate the information we have gathered - helping to fulfil archaeological planning conditions attached to our sites. This involves publishing articles and books, as well as giving talks and presentations to the public.
I have been working for MOLA since 2011. I started as a field archaeologist, before moving on to supervisory roles, and finally into my current role in 2022. In that time I have contributed to, and been responsible for, the completion of sites ranging from small to large excavations. The majority of my experience comes from complex, multi-period urban projects in London.
Most recently, I have been involved in the prestigious Tideway infrastructure project, and the analysis and publication of the EAONE on-shore cable route.
In addition to my Project Officer role, I am also a Prospect Union health and safety representative.
