Thames Discovery Programme Guided Walk: Gabriel's Wharf
Gabriel's Wharf, London, SE1 9PP
Join the Thames Discovery Programme team on a guided walk, where you will uncover intertidal archaeology in the heart of London with one of our expert archaeologists. This walk will discuss the vanished history of the wharves and warehouses that once lined the Thames, all under the shadow of the iconic Oxo Tower.
The walk will start at 12pm at the river stairs at the end of Gabriel’s Wharf, SE1 9PP.
Our guided foreshore walks help support our work to monitor and record the vulnerable archaeology on the Thames foreshore.
For more information and to book, please visit the Thames Discovery Programme website.
Places are limited so booking is essential! The foreshore surface can be uneven and muddy – please wear sturdy footwear; boots or wellies are recommended! In case of inclement weather, the walks may be postponed or cancelled.
Our events pages include information on events we are hosting and events that our archaeological specialists are taking part in.
